THE STORY BEHIND THE GRIN

IT STARTED
WITH A WAVE.

Bare Bones began with Randy Parker’s love of surfing and a playful twist on “grin and bear it.” A grinning skull, hang loose hands, oversized feet—and an idea that stuck.

Created in 1998, that idea has grown into a brand for people who work hard, get outside, and keep their sense of humor through it all. From the coast to the desert, the attitude is the same: Grin and Bare It.
